About me
I am a self-taught artist and also I am a tattoo artist, based in Cumbria, North West of England. I believe that continuous learning and constantly exploring new ideas are the key to success in any area of one’s life.I have always believed that a beautiful tattoo should comprise a custom design that compliments your unique body lines and features. A good tattoo needs to be simplified and have a combination of blank spaces, solid lines and shading shapes to create a visible impact when people seeing it from the distance. An excessive detailed tattoo will crumble over time, then it will look like a big black spot on the body. I have a duty as a tattoo artist to create a tattoo to age well and you will be proud to wear it for a life time. My studio is private and only by invitation or through friend’s recommendation. I prefer to work closely with each client, so that together we can capture ideas and convert them into stunning designs. Every tattoo is considered a piece of art for me, and I always spend a lot of my time to research and design a tattoo which specifically fit into my client’s unique body lines. I do not agree a tattoo should be done in a quick manner without putting much thought into the design.
About my Art
I have been passionate about art since I was a kid. My parents sent me to a private art studio to learn how to draw. I have never given up my talent for art even though now I have grown up became a Chartered engineer and tattoo artist. People tend to think that there is no relationship between artist and engineer, but the old master painter Leonardo DaVinci proved otherwise to the world with his renowned works of art and engineering sketches. My painting style has been influenced by the classical fine art in realistic manner that was used during the Renaissance period. I am specialised in life drawing and portraiture, and I am interested in drawing faces of characters which capture of an individual’s appearance and personality. The important role of the artist is to encapsulate the subject’s soul, something that photography cannot achieve. I have been teaching art classes for almost 13 years. With my unique background as a structural engineer, artist and tattoo artist. I am able to teach my students using simplified techniques to approach a lot of complicated issues in art. I really enjoy teaching as I believe art plays a very important role in our daily life. Art should be taught from a young age, so that later in their life important skills such as patience, self-expression, creativity and attention to detail are developed.
